I often say student loans are the bane of my existence and that’s SO true but honestly? Meal planning is a very close second. Ugh. I do it because, despite the whole second-bane-of-my-existence factor, it actually does help during the week (like you said, one less thing to worry about) but yeah. In the moment? Not a fan haha.

All that said, I do find that step four in your process is SO important. Took a few “well let’s just get Burger King” times to learn this but now we make sure we have something quick available for the nights we come home and slow cooker chili does not sound appealing. I think it’s helped a lot? I feel like it has anyway, which I guess is the important thing.

As far as meals we make regular, taco soup happens a lot (https://www.thediaryofarealhousewife.com/taco-soup/) and this orzo skillet thing is always a win (https://wholeandheavenlyoven.com/2017/01/05/rainbow-vegetarian-fried-orzo-skillet/)

Also, we order pizza (or some kind of takeout) once a week. Typically Friday. It’s our little treat and we both enjoy it immensely.
